Stephanie Severance is a distinguished expert in environmental technology with 20 years of experience in global powertrain product development, research, and technology strategy. As the Director of Strategy, Innovation & Partnership within the Research and Technology organization at Cummins, Stephanie ensures the company maintains a robust technology portfolio that aligns with Cummins’ financial and environmental strategies, delivering clean, reliable power where and when it is needed. She also spearheads the development and maintenance of strategic research partnerships globally, driving growth opportunities and technological advancements.

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University (2006) and a Master of Engineering in Engine Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2015). Throughout her tenure at Cummins, she has held numerous roles in product development and research, continually enhancing her expertise in emissions and greenhouse gas reduction. Her extensive background uniquely positions her to direct technology strategy by integrating future technical potential, customer needs, and the rapidly evolving industrial landscape.
