Speaker Bio

Marten currently serves as Senior Technical Advisor in the Performance and Controls organization of the Cummins Power System Business. In this role, he is responsible for performance architecture selection and combustion system development for high horsepower internal combustion engines (ICE).

His journey at Cummins began in 2002 after a Bachelors from Auburn University and Masters from the University of Illinois (both in Mechanical Engineering). His experiences span midrange to high horsepower engine sizes, and include diesel, spark ignited, and dual fuel combustion across various phases of the product development cycle. Outside of ICE product development, he has also leveraged roles in simulation and experimental development to lead corporate wide improvement initiatives.
