Speaker Bio

Dr. David Smith is the Senior Laboratory Relationship Manager for the DOE Vehicle Technologies Office at Idaho National Laboratory. David is a recognized expert in control systems for advanced vehicles with experience in industry, consulting, academia and the national lab system.

He holds multiple patents for control system innovations for hybrid electric vehicles and has co-authored more than 26 impactful peer reviewed papers on different topics related to sustainable transportation and next generation vehicles. David received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville.
