Alan Amici

Alan Amici is a seasoned automotive leader with over 35 years of experience. Currently, he serves as the President and CEO of the Center for Automotive Research (CAR). Prior to joining CAR, Amici held various leadership positions in engineering, manufacturing, and service at Chrysler and TE Connectivity. At TE, he held leadership positions like Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Transportation Solutions and Vice President of Engineering for Automotive Americas.

During his extensive tenure at Chrysler, Amici spearheaded crucial initiatives such as Global Uconnect (infotainment and connected car platform) and electrical/electronics engineering for their facilities in both Italy and Michigan. He also held a senior management position within their global service and parts department in Germany. Amici’s expertise is further recognized by his two patents and the prestigious Walter P. Chrysler Technology Award.

His academic background is equally impressive, boasting an MBA, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, all from the University of Michigan. He actively contributes to the academic world by serving on the Board of Advisors at Penn State Harrisburg and the Department of Industrial Engineering at Wayne State University. Amici is also a graduate of the Chrysler Institute of Engineering.
