Speaker Bio

Dr. Christopher Cox is currently a professor and head of the Department of Mathematics at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and a member of the leadership team for the UTC Quantum Center.  He also an emeritus professor at Clemson University.  Chris has taught a variety of courses over a 40-year span as a college professor, from calculus through graduate level numerical analysis, plus interdisciplinary courses in complex fluid flows and quantum science.

Chris Cox earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Grove City College, and his master’s degree in applied mathematics and PhD in mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University.
