Dr. Maarten Meijer Dr. Maarten Meijer joined PACCAR in 2016 and is leading Advanced Technology activities at the PACCAR Technical Center. His team is engaged in a wide range of technology research areas including; engine (diesel / H2), aftertreatment, powertrain hybridization, battery electric vehicles, fuel cell electric vehicles, autonomous driving, and fleet connectivity.
He is the principal investigator on various DOE funded R&D programs, from which the PACCAR SuperTruck 3 program is the largest. SuperTruck 3 is all about the transition to zero-emissions commercial fleets, taking both the vehicle and charging infrastructure into account.
Maarten holds a MSc. Degree in Automotive Engineering Science, and a PhD. in Combustion Technology both from The Eindhoven University of Technology (Netherlands). He was a visiting researcher at the Sandia (USA) and IFPEN (France) national labs.
