Paul Eiden

Paul Eiden is a Senior Vice President and Project Director for Sargent & Lundy.  Since joining Sargent & Lundy in 1990, he has managed the engineering and design of numerous large-scale industrial projects focused on baseload electric power generation totaling over 17 GW across various cycle technologies and fuel types.  His work has focused on system design for increased plant efficiency, reliability, emission control and safety.  Paul currently is a principal member of Sargent & Lundy’s decarbonization infrastructure initiative responsible for the technical oversight and growth of clean fuel integration including hydrogen.  These efforts investigate hydrogen applications for energy storage and carbon-reduced electrical production by way of combustion or fuel cells, with an emphasis on integration with renewable energy and nuclear power stations for hydrogen production.

Paul received his mechanical engineering degree from the University of Notre Dame and is a licensed Professional Engineer in several states.  He has authored numerous papers on advanced topics for electrical power facilities.
