Eric Dillen

Eric Dillen is the Advanced Engine Technology Leader for Wabtec Corporation. Wabtec is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, and digital solutions for the freight and transit rail sectors.

Eric joined GE Transportation in 1993 as a locomotive mechanical systems engineer working on cooling and ventilation system design and locomotive fuel efficiency improvement projects. He then moved into the engine fuel systems group as an engine performance and emissions engineer, ultimately becoming the engine lead systems engineer for the launch of the Tier 0 and Tier 1 GE locomotives. He managed the engine performance, turbo, and emissions team during the development and launch of the Tier 2 EVO locomotive. After that, Eric was a Principal Engineer in the Chief Engineers office responsible for fuel consumption guarantees and design rigor for the cooling and ventilation systems. He transitioned into the role of Dual Fuel Engine Platform Leader for GE Transportation’s NextFuel™ locomotive initiative prior to his current role and GE Transportation’s merger with Wabtec.

Eric holds a Bachelor and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.
