Danielle Chou Danielle Chou

Danielle Chou is Program Manager for Enabling Technologies at the US Federal Highway Administration’s Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center, with responsibilities for project and program management of cooperative driving automation, transportation systems management and operations, and advanced modeling and simulation.

She previously served as an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science and Technology Policy Fellow in the Department of Energy’s Vehicle Technologies Office, where she provided technical and program management support for the Energy Efficient Mobility Systems (EEMS) program. Prior to that, Danielle worked at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) on air and missile defense applications in which she and her team provided the US government with technical advice on developing, deploying, and maintaining high-reliability interceptor systems. She is also interested in strategic and design thinking, the development of innovation ecosystems, and the impacts of disruptive technologies.

Danielle earned her mechanical engineering degrees from MIT and has a background in modeling and simulation, navigation and control, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
