Mr. Shital Shah

Shital Shah is Principal Research Engineer at Microsoft Research AI. His interests include simulation, autonomous vehicles, robotics, deep learning and reinforcement learning. He has over 20 years of professional software architecture and development experience with 12 years at Microsoft in various roles including technical lead, architect and engineering manager. At Microsoft, Shital has been primarily focusing on machine learning and distributed large scale systems.  At Bing, he founded and lead the team to develop distributed machine learned clustering platform. At Microsoft Research, he conceived and lead the development of AirSim, a physically and visually realistic cross platform simulator for AI research built on Unreal Engine. He is currently working on developing and evaluating reinforcement algorithms for the smart agents in open dynamic world.
