Mr. David Vickers

Mr. Vickers is a registered Professional Engineer and a specialist in computer system conceptualization, architecture, analysis, definition, design, implementation, integration and support. His research interests include safety and security of software intensive systems, performance of computational and enterprise systems, and application of machine learning and predictive analytics. His work has included a variety of computer-based systems including those focused on connected and autonomous vehicles, transportation, scientific, and data acquisition. He has recently been a system engineer for an intelligent vehicle demonstration program and is currently the application architect for a Regional Integrated Corridor Management System.

Mr. Vickers has analyzed the design of intelligent transportation systems. Mr. Vickers has conducted requirements analysis and system engineering on a wide variety of components, systems and systems of systems. He has experience with many software development, systems engineering, and data analysis tools, environments, and languages. He has analyzed requirements and defined procedures for the use of software in safety-critical applications. He has contributed to standards for the development of critical software.

Mr. Vickers has led and/or managed the design and development of numerous systems. He has contributed to, led or managed the design and development of intelligent transportation systems, satellite instruments and control systems, engine and fuel analysis systems and instrumentation, instrumentation controllers, mil-spec instruction set architecture computers, vehicle manufacturing plant systems, shop floor data collection systems, shuttle payload systems, strategic radar control systems, self-propelled power line inspection systems, and submersible control systems. He had a leading role in developing the architecture and design of a federal health information exchange. He has participated in a wide variety of business process re-engineering activities. In addition, he has led several trade studies and product evaluations.
