Dr. Dave Brooks David Brooks is the Director for General Motors Global Propulsion Systems R&D, located in Michigan. Dave’s R&D responsibilities include engines, power transfer, hybrid systems, electrification, controls, diagnostics and software tools.
Throughout his career he has been responsible for General Motors North America Powertrain Quality, Director of the Engines Group for Ricardo Inc. and has led global teams for Bosch, Siemens VDO and Continental Tier 1 suppliers for manufacturing and development of engine fuel systems, electronic control hardware and software development.
In the last 20 years, he has worked with various powertrain systems, including light duty passenger, heavy duty commercial vehicles, UAV, power generation and electrified vehicles.
He received both his Bachelors of Science and PhD degrees at Brunel University of West London, UK.
